"Kaizen" is Japanese and translates to "A Change for the Better," and came to be synonymous with company-wide efforts to improve upon and intelligently streamline business practices. This Japanese productivity philosophy helps you organize everything you do, and is the foundation for "constant, continuous improvement." Simply, every aspect of an organization should, at all times, strive to do what it does better.

In this Webinar, Dennis Conte will share principles of Kaizen that drive continuous improvement, such as Muda (Waste), Muri (Overburden) and Mura (Unevenness).

Attendees will be able to apply the concepts of Muda, Mira, and Mura in their own processes, plus understand how to use "5 Whys" - a root cause analysis method.

Learning Objectives:

1) Understand the history of Kaizen, Mira, Muda, and Mura in Lean methodology.

2) Be able to see that these concepts apply to just not agile processes, but to all levels of the business.

3) Learn how to use tools such as "5 Whys," to find waste.

4) The Six Steps to implement Kaizen.

The Ally's Journey: The 5-Step Process to Become an Inclusionary Leader

How do we engage men as allies in the intersectional movement toward equality and inclusion? What can they do to help? What can you do? What do they need to do themselves?

Each ally sets out on a personal journey to understand their privilege so they can leverage it across levels of intersectionality. That can be uncomfortable at first, but often becomes extremely empowering. Each ally starts their learning with blind spots and unconscious biases, which they need to confront within a safe space and with supportive guidance instead of shame and blame. Each ally eventually uncovers the difference between intention and impact, expanding their capacity to own their impact while connecting to the experiences of others. From this empathy grows new tools, habits, connections, behaviors and confidence in bringing more allies to the table. The ally's journey to becoming woke is a repeatable process, and everyone wins, so all we need to do is focus on building this system into our culture en masse.

In this webinar, Dale Thomas Vaughn will share stories from allies about their experiences from unconscious bystander to "woke." You will learn:

- How to recruit male allies to help end inequality in representation and leadership.
- Why "unconscious bias" training doesn't work by itself.
- How to change your conversation with male colleagues from shame and blame to safety and accountability.

Dale Thomas Vaughn is the co-founder of the Better Man Conference and the Inclusionary Leadership Group. He has set out a path for allyship within multiple FORTUNE 500 companies, and has been seen as an expert on CNN, BBC, and MariaShriver.com. As an activist at the forefront of the conversation around gender equality and healthy masculinity, Dale was acknowledged as a "leader of men of quality" by feminist attorney Gloria Allred, and presented at the International Conference on Masculinities alongside other leaders like Gloria Steinem, Sheryl Sandberg and Michael Kimmel.
