For 24 years, I have had the privilege of meeting women from around the world who attend our annual Women in Technology Summit.
Last week, during our latest Summit, I met women who flew in from Africa, England, Shanghai and Switzerland to be with us. I am aware of at least 4 additional countries besides the United States that were represented.
Every year, I try to process the stories women share with me, their hopes, their dreams their courage. As I leave the Summit, I am so inspired to do more, give more, open more doors, and break down the barriers that stand in the way of the women of our community becoming the leaders they were born to be.
Among the hundreds of women I spoke to personally, and the thousands who attended the event, I did not hear one complaint, one victim statement - but instead, I felt the amazing energy of rooms filled with smart, talented, well educated women - and men - who wanted to collaborate, not compete, achieve, not complain, create, not destroy. How inspiring!
These women were born to lead and WITI is totally committed to making that happen! The Summit may be over, but the year is not and we have many more activities and opportunities for you to engage with us and rise.
