Meet Victoria Bondoc - A math geek to a national security maverick

CEO Victoria Bondoc of Gemini was recently featured on WITI's Fireside Chat, hosted by Parna Sarkar-Basu, VP of Brand Marketing for WITI and founder of Brand and Buzz Marketing. It was an exhilarating conversation, where we learned about Victoria's career journey - a MIT math geek to investigating black market crime to leading a $400M - to her philanthropic efforts.

The world is currently navigating unprecedented times. To overcome the uncertainty of the global pandemic and any crisis situation, Victoria has an ACT philosophy.

A: Assess what has changed, what adjustments are needed, identify how to keep your team safe, and continue to serve your customers.

C: Communicate with your team to understand concerns, address anxieties, and offer support consistently.

Take it to a win: You still have your same goals. but you may take a different path to achieve those goals.

Born to a neurologist and surgeon, Victoria's parents instilled upon her the importance of working hard and studying math, science and engineering. Early in her career, Victoria worked for a defense research company before founding her first business venture. Reflecting on her journey, Victoria sheds light on how she navigated life as a young entrepreneur:

"Surround yourself with the best people. Every day you ask yourself, ‘Am I doing things that make me deserve them?' My job as a leader is to help my team to be successful. If I'm not helping them to be successful, I'm not doing my job."
