The Athena Factor Research Project showed that over time fully 52% of highly qualified females in STEM quit their jobs due to perceived corporate cultural disadvantages, a sense of isolation that comes from a limited number of female role models and/or difficultly navigating career paths that they feel are unclear.

Our industry has remained a strong hold with male dominance in senior leadership ranks typically blind to the issues of advancing women. And senior level women either attempting to correct historical imbalances too quickly by advancing women not yet capable or remaining reluctant to engage in the sponsorship of other women.
