Instead of using toxic chemical cleaners when washing the outside of your car or motorcycle, make your own natural alternative with half a box of baking soda and a bucket of water. For windows, mix half a cup of white vinegar with two cups of water in a spray bottle.

Conserve Water

Skip the hose. Using just a single bucket of water for washing and refilling it to rinse can save up to 100 gallons of water every time you clean your car or RV. If you can't resist the hose, attach a nozzle to waste less water.

Smell Sweet

For the interior, use baking soda as a natural carpet deodorizer. You can also place organic dryer sheets under car seats. For an extra aromatic boost, apply a small dab of your favorite essential oil in the corners of your dash. When the oil warms up, it releases a fresh, calming scent.

Oil up

Protect your interior with a few drops of olive oil. Rub it on your dashboard and other interior plastics to keep them supple. If you have leather seats, use linseed oil, a natural cleaner and protectant.
