"Top Secret Rosies" Film Screening / Q&A with Director LeAnn Erickson
Documentary film screening and Interactive Discussion with Director LeAnn Erickson will launch the WITI Summit on Sunday October 2, 2011. "Top Secret Rosies" tells the story of a group of female mathematicians who, in 1942, helped win a war and usher in the modern computer age. Erickson is a recipient of regional and national production grants for her work from such funding sources as NEA, AAUW, the Jerome Foundation and The Leeway Foundation. In 2003 and 2006 she was awarded the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship for media arts.

The World Café
Mastermind Teams Led by World-Renowned Leader, Dr. Anne Adams, at WITI's 2011 Women Powering Technology Summit will engage each participant in a Creative Exchange process, turning each group into Your Mastermind Team to strategize and brainstorm the best solutions for challenges posed by one another.

Intrapreneur/Entrepreneur: What are the Lessons in Creating a Startup, Either Externally or Within a Company?
Carnegie Mellon University - Silicon Valley will host this session featuring projects and new business that were either company- or VC-funded. The panel will share challenges and experiences to consider when taking an idea to the marketplace. CMUSV will share its experiences in educating innovators, through its Masters program in Software Management - Entrepreneurship, which has resulted in new business creations such as the two in this session.

WITI Executive Roundtables
Held in conjunction with WITI's 2011 Women Powering Technology Summit, this high profile event will feature WITI Executives engaging in frank roundtable discussions with Industry Leaders to better understand the issues preventing the advancement of more women to Boards and C-Level positions in Corporate America.

WITI's NextGen Program
This micro-conference on Monday, October 3rd, is designed to encourage young women and girls to consider careers in Science and Technology. Leading women in Technology will teach, mentor, and share with students through speaking engagements, mentoring panels, workshops and roundtable discussions highlighting how these women of note chose their path while reinforcing the importance of demonstrated leadership.
