Suchitra Subrahmanyan is a Senior Director in Business Development at Applied Materials with responsibilities in mergers and acquisitions, strategy, venture investments, market research and analysis. During her career, Suchitra has held various managerial roles in business management, operations, product management, customer technology support and process engineering. She has also worked on developing new business models and the supporting processes to increase top line growth.
Most recently, she has played a key role in the announced merger of Varian with Applied Materials. Suchitra received a doctoral degree in Chemistry from Columbia University, a master's degree in Chemisty from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a bachelor's of science degree in Chemistry from University of Madras, India. She was awarded the TWIN Award in 2010 by YWCA of Silicon Valley in honor of women that exemplify excellence in executive level positions.
