Usability is an important goal of any technology design but is often difficult to achieve. Recent research suggests that aspects of developers' personalities may at least partially underlie usability problems in technology, since the distribution of personality types within the industry differs from that of the general user population. In this talk, I will focus on the role of intuition - how designers come to know and interpret user needs and behaviors - and how intuitively-motivated women can positively impact usability within their own organizational environments.
