105 - Employment and Benefits Negotiation for Women: Leveraging Your Worth

Business owner, speaker, educator, and advisor, Kim Gaxiola's mission is to provide objective and timely financial advice and guidance, with the highest level of professional service. Serving investors managing their assets from trusts, retirement plans, IRAs, and 401(k)s, Kim has over 10 years of experience as a financial advisor, and 15 years in the financial services industry.

In 1994 Kim graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Kim received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) certification from the College for Financial Planning in 2008. Thinking it would be more fun to write exams than take them, Kim volunteered as a subject matter expert for the College of Financial Planning and helped write exam questions for the 2012 CFP® certification test. After spending over 10 years working for Wall Street banks and broker-dealers, in 2010 Kim crossed over to the independent world where she now enjoys the entrepreneurial spirit to grow her business, delivering unbiased, independent advice without the pressure of Wall Street quotas.

Embracing the culture of technology in Silicon Valley, Kim serves as the network coordinator for the Silicon Valley WITI (Women In Technology International) regional network. She is a KidLead Koach for kids aged 10-13 training them in leadership skills in Morgan Hill, and a board member for the San Jose Catholic Professionals. When she is not working or volunteering she likes to travel, read, exercise, drink wine with the girls, or just hang out with family and friends.
