Nor Rae Spohn is senior vice president of the Imaging & Printing Group’s (IPG) LaserJet Printing Business. Nor Rae and her team are responsible for continuing HP’s worldwide leadership in laser printing. Customer understanding and innovation are the foundation of the LaserJet business as they focus on driving profitable growth in enterprise, emerging markets, color, and in-house marketing services.

She joined HP in 1980 as an R&D engineer in the disc drive division. She moved to the LaserJet business in 1988, and her experience and leadership track record over 19 years in the LaserJet business is vast.

Her roles range from being the project manager responsible for printer firmware on the LaserJet IIP, HP’s first personal LaserJet printer, to her most recent position as vice president and general manager of the HP Color LaserJet business.

Nor Rae serves on the boards of the Idaho Science, Mathematics and Technology Coalition and the Treasure Valley Mathematics and Science Center.
In December 2006, she was appointed to the Governor’s Science and Technology Advisory Council for the state of Idaho.

Nor Rae holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Stanford. She resides with her family in Boise.
