Dr. Elizabeth Xu is a seasoned business and technical leader with over 20 years of experience in developing, deploying and supporting software-as-a-service, big data, and mobile enterprise software.

Elizabeth drives global technology as the chief technology officer for CP Group where she leads digital transformation for a few hundred subsidiaries with combined revenue of $45 billion using data and AI technology.

She was CTO at BMC Software and responsible for BMC's central technology organization and digital service management BU engineering organization. Before joining BMC, Elizabeth was group vice president of product engineering at Acxiom.

She was the Global SVP of product development at Rearden Commerce—a partner at Business Innovation Services and the global SVP of product development at Vitria Technology.

Elizabeth's career includes several years at IBM developing the IBM Content Management Suite and DB2.

A teacher, author, and mentor as well, Elizabeth teaches the class ten steps to a successful career at Stanford continuing studies, and co-authored "Myths of the Promotion: Ten Steps to a Successful Career."

In 2017, she received the James G. Scrugham Medal from the University of Nevada in Reno and the Women in Technology Hall of Fame Award 2017 from WITI.

Elizabeth holds one critical cybersecurity patent and has won several awards for leadership and community service. She was chosen for the "Silicon Valley Business Journal’s" Women of Influence and is the recipient of ten Stevie Awards for achievement in business.

She serves as an advisor and board member for several organizations, including WITI (Women in Technology International) Be The Change Foundation. She founded the Successful Women Acceleration Network.

Elizabeth has a bachelor’s degree in space physics, two master’s degrees in atmospheric science and computer science, a PhD in atmospheric science, and has completed the executive education program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
