WITI-Works is pleased to invite you to an Interview Skills Workshop, Thursday, April 18, 2pm - 4pm.
Human Resource expert, Linda Haines, will discuss practical ways to “Master your job interview”. Key focus will be on developing practical skills, understanding behavior and confidence building. Topics for discussion include:
· Marketing yourself in today's economy
· Preparing for the interview: dress, speak, listen, for success
· Types of interviews (team/panel interviews, stress interviews, behavioral, etc.)
· Ten tough questions and how to answer (I see you studied history in college, what makes you think you can be a _____? Tell me about yourself. What are your weaknesses?)
· What types of questions YOU should ask at the interview
· Ten things NOT to do in an interview
Following Ms. Haines, nationally known trainer, speaker, business coach, and media expert, Joyce Scott, CEO Kelley Boyd, and Marketing Consultant, Luis Morales will facilitate “mock interview” coaching sessions for hands-on practical feedback.
NOTE: Attendees should bring their resume for use in the “mock interview” session.

Linda Haines has accumulated over 25 years of human resource management experience, 20 years at the executive level. She built and managed People Solutions of Austin, a consulting business that reached $1.5 million in annual revenue by its fourth year in business. She has worked for premier companies including Stanford University, EPIC Healthcare, Pharmaco International, and Dell Computer Corporation.
As an accomplished human resources and organizational management consultant, she has helped company executives develop and implement human resource strategies to support dramatic growth, change, and globalization. Her business orientation and problem-solving skills frequently lead to requests for her advice and consultation on a wide range of business issues.
