Heather Burns has worked for Microsoft for over 10 years, in a variety of roles, but continues to be passionate about helping others. She has jumped out of an airplane, done a triathlon, and ridden a 100 miles in a day.... all to raise money for charities. One of Heather’s previous roles was a Program Manager within the Microsoft Accessible Technology Group, where she was able to help improve the usability of all Windows based products for individuals with disabilities.

Heather was born in Dallas, TX, spent some time in Minnesota, but mainly grew up in Charlotte, NC. She graduated from Cornell University in 1993 with a BS in computer science. It was off to Microsoft after graduation with 3 major career changes within the company.

Heather is married to another Microsoftie, who works as a Developer. They are the proud parent's of one daughter, Evelyn Gail Burns.
