Ms. Hightower is currently Director, Internet Business Solutions Group at Cisco Systems, Inc. Working with a team of 230 executive consultants, Ms. Hightower leads the US Federal Public Sector Internet Solutions group in Homeland Security and other civilian agencies. In this capacity she acts as a Trusted Advisor to CXO’s in pro bono consulting engagements in Public Sector agencies around the world. She conducts peer-to-peer customer meetings worldwide with government leaders, sharing best practices and thought leadership in technology transformation.

Prior to joining Cisco, Ms. Hightower spent a year with IBM, filling the management leadership role of change agent and building a corporate strategy around public sector clients.

She spent several years as Vice President and General Manager of Titan Corporation’s Internet Technology Solutions Division. This provided opportunities to direct technology implementation engagements for all levels of government entities.

Ms. Hightower also spent many years with Mission Research Corporation in a variety of roles. She led the procurement operation and received government certification of the company’s procurement system. She moved into technical business development, and as part of the CEO’s team, helped transform the company from nuclear physics research and development to a broad-based research firm in many scientific areas. She was a leader in the company’s move into specialized manufacturing for DoD classified programs with three manufacturing facilities.


Academically, she pursued Music at the undergraduate level, and completed an MBA and a dissertation in Finance. Recently she completed a certificate program in Knowledge Management.

Frequently, she speaks to international conferences and professional associations on the role of technology in the transformation of enterprises, governments, industries and economies.
