Mercedes DeLuca, Vice President of Information Systems, Yahoo!
Mercedes got a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia
University and worked for 4 years in software development. She then
had 2 children and took a 5-year hiatus to spend with them.
Afterwards, she spent 1 year getting a teaching credential and then
worked part-time for 7 years, teaching programming at a community
college and consulting in computer networking at small businesses.
Four years after starting full-time work in IT, she got her MBA. She
is currently VP of Global IT at Yahoo!.
