Investing in Women -- Increasing Opportunities for Funding Women

In 2011, there was an estimated 8.1 million women-owned businesses generating $1.3 trillion in revenues and employing nearly 7.7 million people. Still, venture backed women-led companies represent less than 10% of venture funding.

This forum gathers a panel of investors to discuss the start-up funding gap, why it exists and why it must change. The panel will also provide perspective on the unique benefits and competitive advantages that women-led businesses possess and why there is an increased interest in investing in female entrepreneurs.
