Mobile: Social, Local, What is Next?

Mobile was originally known for the hardware, such as the mobile devices that we all use and take for granted in today’s market. It has transitioned from the initial devices which were large and very expensive and used by few, to the broad array of devices across many different price points today.

It is everywhere. It is now 2% of the world’s GDP per a leading consulting firm. It is used on a global basis, with a diversity of networks and devices to provide connectivity and content. Our devices now know more about us than many of us might realize (from your contacts, communication, location and applications that are used). It might be social media updates via facebook or twitter, looking for a restaurant to meet your friends, or simply using the device to communicate, whether it is via voice, SMS or another application.
