Developing Emotional Intelligence for Success

Dr. William Rhey, Dean of Graduate Studies at UT will be speaking about "Developing skills for the next global economy" --> these skills concentrate on the area of ‘Emotional Intelligence’. The topic includes how 'Emotional Intelligence' is key to be successful as an individual and a corporation in the next global economy, and a recap of how business practices have evolved throughout history and why these skills are necessary for the next global economy.

Career Specialties: Dr. Rhey specializes in applied marketing research, strategic planning, service quality and business ethics.

Professional and Community Activities:
After two years as a dean at Jacksonville University, former UT marketing professor Dr. Rhey returned to UT in 2004 as associate dean of the John H. Sykes College of Business and director of graduate programs.

Using visual discrimination techniques in focus groups, he has collaboratively produced cross-cultural market research throughout the world, including countries such as Bulgaria, Jamaica, China, India and Japan.

In the U.S., he has produced research for automobile companies, distribution businesses and restaurants. His work has contributed to research for The Bulgarian Soul, The Chinese Soul, and The American Soul, all published by The Equipping Network.

He maintains a long-time staff relationship with the Navigators, a world-wide International Christian Leadership Organization.
