KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Lisa Young, VP, Cyber Risk Engineering

Lisa R Young is an operational risk and security metrics professional with a passion for solving problems with data. She is Vice President, Cyber Risk Engineering of Axio and collaborates with organizations to build resilience capabilities with a specific focus on program design and implementation, strategic and operational metrics, and cybersecurity risk quantification. Previously, Lisa was a senior engineer at CERT at the SEI of Carnegie Mellon University.

She brings her expertise in engineering, business operations, risk management, and cybersecurity to help organizations visualize what risk-based decision-making really looks like in practice. Her superpower is making the vision of integrated risk management a reality with an innovative and procedural approach that fits the culture and mission. Lisa has earned a BA degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida and a MS in Cybersecurity Public Policy from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Lisa maintains the CISA, CISM, CISSP certifications, and the CERT Resilience Management Model Lead Appraiser and instructor credentials.


Kari Schori, Chief Information Officer at CIO

Kari has worked in Information Technology for more than 20 years, the last 15 years at West Point Insurance Services where she currently serves as CIO. In this role, she oversees the entire IT department including staffing, processes and product development. As part of the company's leadership team, she was instrumental in expanding the company's software delivery process to ensure on time and on target deliveries while continuing to look for improvements.

She began her career in IT as a software developer with a data centric background, working first in the publishing industry before joining West Point. She has been a leader in the IT industry, serving as Network Director of Women in Technology International in Tampa for three years, and was a CIO of the Year Honoree in 2019. She holds a bachelor's degree in technology management from St. Petersburg College.

Noureen Njoroge, Cybersecurity Threat Intel Engineer at Cisco Systems (WiCys)

Noureen Njoroge is a passionate Cyber Security Professional with vast experience in multi-faceted, complex, fast-paced environments in public and private sector. Noureen excels is Cybersecurity Threat Intelligence with proven leadership experience on issues concerning security and data privacy to technical groups and business stake holders. She works at Cisco Systems as a Cybersecurity Consulting Engineer while leading the Threat Intel team. Noureen is a host of the Cisco Security Stories Podcast where shares her views and knowledge with the audience with regards to Cyber security. She is a Critical thinker, astute problem solver, and an effective translator between technical and nontechnical entities in Cyber security. Noureen is a global keynote speaker, the award winner of Cisco 2019 Cybersecurity Champion and is listed among the Top 30 Most Admired Minority Professionals in Cybersecurity by SeQure World Magazine, UK. Noureen is a people's leader and very passionate in mentoring others. She is the owner of the Mentor & Mentee women in Cybersecurity group on LinkedIn, Founder of the Global mentoring program at Cisco and the president of North Carolina Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Affiliate chapter. Noureen Njoroge has continued to be the advocate for many women and others in the IT industry. Noureen sets an example for others to follow in her hard work to keep ahead of the pack in a rapidly changing industry, her commitment to generously share insights on an ongoing basis, and her desire to help clients protect their business and their data in a complex and uncertain world. She holds a bachelor's degree in Information Technology from University of Massachusetts (UMASS) and a graduate of the Cybersecurity program at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Sylvia Layton - COO at National Cyber Security Alliance

Sylvia is the Chief Operating Officer at the National Cyber Security Alliance, the nation's leading nonprofit, public-private partnership promoting cybersecurity and privacy education and awareness. Based in Washington, DC, Sylvia is an experienced and self-motivated communications and business development professional with demonstrated history of working in the public and private sector.

With 20 years of experience, Sylvia has a unique blend of technology, business and policy experience. She has significant experience in strategic planning, innovation, business development, public-private partnerships, stakeholder management, change management, board relations and strategic communications.

Carla Plummer, Specialist Cloud Data Security Engineer

Carla is a Cybersecurity Engineer with Fortune 500 Bio-Tech company, Amgen. She has over eight years of experience in information technology, with the last three years focused on Cybersecurity, gaining proficiency in both Endpoint Security and Data Loss Prevention.

Carla holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master's in Cybersecurity, and multiple certifications. Carla and her husband, Johnathan, have been married for eight years and have two amazing little boys. In her free time, she enjoys serving her community and binge-watching her favorite TV shows!!

Holley Rosser, Army Intel Officer @ SOCOM (Tampa)

Holley Rosser has over 15 years of military service, including 5 years of active duty. She is currently a Major in the Army Reserves serving on active duty at United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM) and she will soon transition to Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR). Holley's civilian role is Client Engagement Manager at Dataminr, an indications and warnings technology company.
Major Rosser was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps as a Military Intelligence Officer in May 2005. She received her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Utica College in 2005 and her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from American Military University in 2013.
Holley's previous civilian work includes intelligence work at the Philadelphia Police Department, AFSOC and JSOC where she deployed twice in support of OEF. Much of Holley's work has focused on Social media and publicly available information (PAI) analysis and exploitation. She has also served as the Manager of Cyber and Social Media for a government contractor where she was involved in course development and business development.

Alex Keedy, Cyber Specialist at Deloitte

Alex Keedy is a cyber threat intelligence specialist serving Fortune 500 clients at Deloitte, where she manages four workstreams. Her responsibilities include profiling underground forum threat actors, tracking Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups, and briefing C-suite clients on relevant cyber threats. Her previous cyber experience includes leading the cyber threat intelligence operations for a global pharmaceutical company during her two years working at Booz Allen Hamilton. She achieved her first Master's degree in international relations with a focus in intelligence studies and is currently at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School as an MBA candidate.

Sharon Finney - CISO at Johns Hopkins

Sharon Finney, is the Information Security Officer for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Previous to this position Ms. Finney was the Corporate Data Security Officer for AdventHealth, the largest not-for-profit, protestant healthcare system in the United States. Ms. Finney is responsible for the data security technology and compliance strategies and data security operations for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Ms. Finney holds a BSBA in Security Management from Devry University, a Master's Degree from Loyola University in Health Law and her CISSP certification. Ms. Finney has over 25 years of experience in information technology and security.
