Driving UI-UX Forward in 2022

Calling all aspiring/existing UI/UX professionals! We're kicking off a brand-new UI/UX WITI Industry Network (WIN) to service the booming segment of the tech industry.

In this session, we will share the vision for the WIN, as well as the objectives and initiatives for the remainder of the year. But this won't be a one-sided sharing - we want this to be collaborative so we can get your feedback and ideas on the focus areas and concrete next steps to enable us to build momentum for the WIN, make sure we are hitting your interests, and help you with your own goals. So bring your collaboration mindset, and let's have a fun and productive session!

This event occurs the fourth Wednesday of every month.

***No Recruiting or soliciting allowed at any WITI WINS Event. These events are for education and relationship building only***

Featured Speaker(s)

I'm a Director of User Experience at Honeywell Aerospace and the Americas Design Studio leader. Our studios in the U.S. and Mexico design amazing experiences to increase safety and reduce cost across a portfolio that includes cockpit systems, urban air mobility, engines, APUs, mechanical components, and more. Previously, I worked on designing the connected aircraft experience at Honeywell Aerospace as Honeywell User Experience (HUE) Enterprise Lead of Connected Aircraft and Connectivity Solutions.

Prior to Honeywell Aerospace, I was a senior design leader at IBM where I made significant improvements to ease-of-use for storage management for a number of offerings including:

- Spectrum Control (formerly Tivoli Storage Productivity Center), a Web-based application for multi-system management
- Storage Insights, IBM's first storage management SaaS product
- Spectrum Scale (also known as GPFS), software-defined storage for high performance, large scale workloads on-premises or in the cloud.

I have over 15 years of experience in design leadership, interface design, user research, and information architecture. I believe in collaborative, empathetic, user-focused design. My awards include being named a Rising Star by the National Women of Color in Technology and several IBM awards including an Invention Achievement Award, Agile Excellence Award, and Outstanding Technical Achievement Award (OTAA) for my contribution to usability. I hold several patents in user interface design and information architecture.
