WITI Editor's Note
We don't have to tell you that we are living through unprecedented times. The pandemic, unemployment, riots, racism, and fear -- of the unknown and of the known. Education and communication are the only antidotes to fear. We have a slate of virtual networking events designed to encourage conversation. Together we need to be part of the solution. This situation is so serious that all fine minds are needed to address it. We will be offering sessions for deep conversations and to explore how we can bring about positive change. The first of these is Business Not As Usual: Creating A Safe Space to Talk About Race. We also invite you to write to us with any suggestions you have or articles you want to be published. We want to help. firstname.lastname@example.org
BrainCandyLabs - Brought to you by MiniWITI

We're on a mission to increase awareness in careers in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) through real time, interactive learning. On June 23 and 24, BrainCandyLabs is launching a virtual webinar experience in parallel with WITI's (Women in Technology International) Virtual Summit.

Business Not As Usual: Creating A Safe Space to Talk About Race
Please join us this Friday from 1:15-3PM PDT (4:15-6PM EDT) as Denise Hamilton and Fred Sugerman from RACE RELAY (TM) create a safe space to talk about race. The mission of RACE RELAY (TM) is to demonstrate - story is medicine and sharing stories with empathy at the core can be healing. So the healing begins with the process of hearing stories having a common thread; a thread that ties all human beings together - through our desires, our fears, and our racial biases. The intention of RACE RELAY (TM) is to dissolve disunity among those who are seated together, enable them to see a pattern to our biases, and perhaps go beyond tolerance to understand the commonality of our frailties.
WITI Women in Tech Survey
Once again we've partnered with IDC to create our Women in Tech Survey. 2020's survey will help us better understand the successes and obstacles prevalent in our industry. Like last year, we will use the survey data to produce a comprehensive report.
Please help us and ensure your voice is heard!
