"Strategically Managing Your Career": Join us as our panel of industry experts explore the timely topic of how to manage your career strategically and effectively in today's still evolving marketplace.
Many business professionals make the 'mistake' of discontinuing their personal networking once they achieve a new position. Often, they do not plan for, or take into account, the life cycles of companies or the fluctuations in the economy, and may find themselves seeking employment sooner than planned. Without advance planning or constant personal marketing, they find themselves in a stressful life situation and wonder how to jump start the process of finding another job.
Our panel consists of a search firm representative, a representative from a company that provides global career management services, and an individual from industry who has recently been in the market for a new position. They will share experiences and discuss the following:
--The importance of personal 'marketing' networking;
--Career development objectives;
--How to effectively search for a new position;
--How to handle the job, or career, transition phases effectively;
A lively Q&A discussion with the audience will follow the panel discussion.
