San Diego's Fabulous Funded Female Tech Founder's Reception & Panel Discussion

San Diego's Evo Nexus and Women In Technology International present an evening of inspiration and leadership with the "Fabulous Funded Female Tech Founders Reception". Taking place March 31 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at Evo Nexus Downtown Tech Center, the reception will include a panel discussing the challenges and opportunities for female leaders in business.

Inspired by events in the Bay Area including, the "Year of the Woman in the "C" Suite" in Tech", and a Stanford University's new "Female Founder, Focused Accelerator" launching in Spring 2014, this event celebrates the female funded founders and CEOs in San Diego technology that are leading and building great companies.

Kim Folsom, Co-Founder and CEO of ReelQualified, will be Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening.

Bio of Mistress of Ceremonies Kim Folsom, Co-Founder and CEO, Reelqualified:

Reelqualified is the provider of the ReelSmarts (www.reel-smarts.com), a video-centric personal financial wellness SAAS platform that educates and pairs self-employed professionals with certified financial advisors. Folsom is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience growing innovative technology companies. Serving on multiple advisory boards and co-author of Million Dollar Conversations, Folsom also teaches global business strategy and finance as an adjunct professor at University of Redlands and University of Phoenix College of Business Administration.

Founded in 1990, Myriad Software was first in the retail home furnishings industry offering Windows-based ERP software products to furniture retailers.


Bio of Martha G. Dennis, Ph.D., Principal at Gordion Knot:

Gordian Knot is an advisory firm to emerging technology businesses in San Diego. Dr. Dennis is Chair of the CommNexus Nextstage program and a member of the Chairmen's Roundtable. She currently serves as a Director of Mundoval (NASDAQ: MUNDX), as Chairman of the Board of Netsapiens, Inc., as Lead Director of Space Micro Inc., and as a Director at Clarinova and Odyon. Dr. Dennis serves on several advisory boards and is also a member of the San Diego Tech Coast Angels.

Gordon has leveraged her extensive background in new media and marketing strategy as well as her passion for craft beer to support the vision and success of Bevato and the TapHunter brand as a sought after industry influencer.


Bio of Lori Steele, Founder and CEO, Everyone Counts, Inc.:

Steele's Everyone Counts has led successful election administration and voting projects in countries including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Australia, involving voters located in over 165 countries, as well as for the iconic Oscar and Emmy awards. In 2013 Steele was named in Fortune Magazine's 10 Most Powerful Women Entrepreneurs List and she is a winner of San Diego Business Journal's Women Who Mean Business Award. Steele was also inducted in Bowling Green State University's Entrepreneur's Hall of Fame.

Coming from the 5 freeway and exiting Front, you will see the entrance to the underground parking lot on the LEFT hand side immediately after you pass through Broadway. Bring your parking ticket and we will validate.
