From Traditional Software Development to Agile Delivery: How to Transition Successfully to Scrum

Many people struggle when making the transition from traditional software development methodologies/approaches to Scrum. The challenges you and your teams will face and how to overcome them will be discussed in this webinar, as well as the tips in helping ensure a smooth transition. All of these will be based on the presenter’s experience working with multiple engagements (both externally with clients and internally in her organization) on their respective Scrum journeys.

Mica Syjuco is a Software Engineering Director in a multinational company. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Information Technology and has been in the software development industry for over 10 years. Currently located in Chicago, she works with teams located in North America, Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America. She is a Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) with Scrum.org as well. Ms. Syjuco has led the successful delivery of complex software projects for multiple clients. She has a strong expertise in implementing and leading both Traditional and Agile / Scrum based development and delivery processes supporting distributed teams on medium to large-scale .NET based enterprise projects. Ms. Syjuco currently works with clients throughout North America leading software project delivery and providing Scrum training, consultation, and coaching with a focus on Microsoft .NET technology, in addition to her other responsibilities in the firm. She also actively builds and grows her organization's agile capability as its interim Global DevOps and Agile Coaching Talent Community Lead. Among her certifications are: Professional Scrum Trainer (PST), Professional Scrum Master (PSM-I, PSM-II, PSM-III), Professional Scrum Developer (PSD-I), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO-I), and Scaled Professional Scrum (SPS).
