There are times when comments are made that offend, hurt, and belittle; typically, not followed by a response. However, there are tactics and methods to help remedy these situations. This compassionate yet provocative webinar informs the audience of the importance of speaking up, asking ‘why,” reversing the ownership of emotional awkwardness, and celebrating the moments of informative assistive empathy.

Samuel Davis is an Information Technology Professional at the State of Ohio's Department of Administrative Services for its Office of Information Technology. In this role, Samuel is responsible for helping to implement enterprise solutions regarding large scale projects with enterprise-wide impact. He is equipped with credentials as a Project Value Management Professional, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Project Manager, and a Certified Business Analyst Professional and Agile Practitioner. Samuel is most proud of the work he does in and around the Central Ohio Region as a STEM Ambassador, Mentor, and Presentational Speaker.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Samuel now resides in Columbus, Ohio. He is a graduate of Roger Bacon High School and Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Most favorably, he is a loving husband and proud parent of two children. Samuel's hobbies include, golf, chess, billiards, and nurturing his saltwater marine fish aquarium. He currently serves as a Board of Directors for Easterseals, Community Board Member for COSI, Commissioner for the Columbus Good Sport Golf Club Association, IT Advisory Board Member for the Downtown Columbus High School and the STEM Industry Council (SiNC), and an active volunteer for the Central Ohio's Make A Wish Foundation, Ronald McDonald House and Habitat for Humanity.
