Women in Technology International (WITI) Atlanta will present a panel of distinguished speakers who will discuss triumphs and challenges faced by women on their way to the top of their careers. Listen to a high-level executive from the corporate arena, an imaginative, trail-blazing entrepreneur and a leader in academia �" all women who have made a mark on the international business scene.

Becky Powhatan, EVP business affairs and general counsel, The Weather Channel, Inc.
Becky serves on the Executive Committee and manages the legal function for all company businesses, including the U.S. cable network, Spanish and Portuguese networks in Latin America, and weather.com. She also negotiates and reviews complex business deals, including cable, Internet and wireless distribution agreements, strategic alliances and acquisitions. Prior to joining The Weather Channel Becky was a business litigator for 12 years and corporate counsel for Landmark Communications, Inc., a private media company. Becky is a member of the American Corporate Counsel Association, The Atlanta Lawyer’s Club, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, and Cable PAC. She is also on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. Becky obtained a B.S. in Mathematics from and attended law school at the University of Florida.

Bonnie Stivers, Ph.D., CPA, professor of accounting, Kennesaw State University.
Bonnie has taught in KSU’s graduate accounting and business programs including executive and physician MBA programs for the past 15 years. She previously held teaching positions in the business schools of Georgia State University and Emory University. She is also author of numerous articles and papers on knowledge management, managerial accounting and information systems, and has been a visiting professor of accounting at Dalian Maritime University, Liaoling Province, China, for the last two years. Bonnie has worked in both public accounting and private industry, having served as chief financial officer for two Atlanta organizations. She earned her B.A. degree at the Rice Institute and her MPA and Ph.D. degrees at Georgia State University.

Ronelle Genser, President, Genser International Consulting.
Ronelle provides international sales and marketing consulting services to businesses interested in increasing the sales of their products and services nationally or internationally. Her career has included positions at AT&S, Inc., Innovative Technology, Migent and General Electric Information Services. She teaches International Business Strategy online at the MBA level for the Keller Graduate School of Management and has served as adjunct faculty in the School of Business at Clayton College and State University. Ronelle serves on the Executive Committee of the American-Israel Chamber of Commerce - Southeast Region, the board of directors of Atlanta Women in International Trade, the AMC International Advisory Board, and the Advisory Board of the European Union Center of the University System of Georgia. She was voted Woman of Achievement in 1999 by the American Israel Chamber of Commerce, and is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia and the National Association of Women Business Owners. Ronelle received a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Rhode Island and an M.A. in psychology from the State University of West Georgia.

Helga Ojinmah, president of Helios Communications, an integrated technology marketing consultancy, will moderate the event. Helios provides strategic communications planning, public relations and marketing communications services to emerging and small to medium sized technology companies. Helga’s career encompasses more than 15 years of US and international experience within corporate and agency roles at start ups, Fortune 100 companies and firms such as Alexander Ogilvy PR Worldwide, GE Capital and Tradepoint Financial Networks. She serves on the Board of Webgrrls Atlanta and Women in Technology International, Atlanta. Helga is a member of Minority Technology Entrepreneurs, the Public Relations Society of America, the SouthEast Regional Internet Society and Technology Association of Georgia. She obtained her B.A. in German and French from the University of London and a Diploma in Export Management from the Institute of Export, London, England.
