Margaret is Vice President and Chief Academic Officer of the Colorado Institute of Technology and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the University of Colorado at Denver. Her presentation assesses the critical role played by education and educators in preparing girls to succeed in "the knowledge era." The shortcomings of the current educational environment will be discussed, as will the fundamental requirements that prepare girls and young women for an effective role in shaping the technology industry and contributing to the economy at large. The talk draws upon Margaret’s extensive background in education and the public sector.
