How do you compress years of knowledge and huge quantities of data into an effective presentation for data driven decision-making? Business intelligence provides huge amounts of data �" what do you do with it?
Led by instructor Nechama Katan of Intel Corp., Hillsboro, Ore., this workshop will include the following topics:
-- Complexity: are problems complex or is it how we present them?
-- What are the key elements of a good data presentation?
-- What is a powerful data presentation?
-- Understanding who you are presenting to and focusing your presentation for them.
-- Data presentation skills: how to present large amounts of data effectively.
-- How to communicate information: presenting technical issues, risk and suggested solutions.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Engineers who need to communicate effectively with managers who have limited bandwidth. Managers who need to synthesize large amounts of data and train their groups to do the same.
The fee for this class includes materials. Pre-registration is required for this program.
Featured Speaker(s)
Nechama Katan completed an MA in Mathematics from Barnard College, an MS in Mathematics from NYU and an MA in statistics from Columbia University. Her passion is in teaching and training people to develop and lead through vision and present data that enables informed decision making.
She has extensive teaching experience in academia and industry. She has worked for Intel for 7+ years and is currently developing process control systems. Her work at Intel has included architecture performance analysis, project management, design productivity and complexity theory.
