In technology, our common ground is filled with complex ideas, complicated code, intricate chip design, but we manage because in common we know fundamentally the ideas. How we discuss them, however, is an entirely different story. For women working in technology, knowing how to effectively communicate around gender, cultural, and language barriers is an every day challenge.
Learn how to present effectively in a technology world with the challenges that you face as a woman. Learn how to apply these skills and ideas to your meetings, small group and one on one communications. Jerri Gillean is an public speaking coach with a specializing in technology. In her career she has given more than 400 speeches to a combined audience of more than 4,000. While in college, she was a nationally competitive public speaker with dozens of awards in public speaking. Prior to starting her own business, she worked as a manager in non-profit, then transitioned to high-tech working in both sales and sales operations. When she is not speaking or coaching, you can find Jerri riding her Paso Fino horses.
