In this economy and in this world marketplace, change is becoming more of the norm. Changes in leadership and technology can be some of the most daunting and upsetting to employees and customers, and can be disruptive to the normal course of business. These changes are experienced with reorganizations, acquisitions, and government leadership transitions. As an example, Oracle has acquired more than 54 companies in the past 6 years including their most recent acquisition, Sun Microsystems. Each company brought with it a unique culture, a complete suite of information technology tools and infrastructure, and employees who were nervous about the changes in their lives and workplace. With humor and candor, Peter Doolan, Chief Technology Officer for Oracle’s Public Sector, will talk about how one can thrive in the midst of change, both personally and professionally. After a brief presentation, Peter will moderate a panel made up of technology executives who have lead or are leading their organizations through significant changes.
