Dr. Hughes will discuss “Leadership, Technology and the Workplace of the Future”. He will explore the changing nature of work, leadership and organizations as impacted by technology, and the new dynamics of culture and gender.
Featured Speaker(s)
Currently the Director of Technical Services for REI, Dr. Hughes has held a number of managerial and technical positions with several Fortune 500 companies. He has served as CIO for a new community college, and he has been an adjunct faculty member with Antioch University Seattle, Seattle Pacific University and the University of Washington.
Dr. Hughes holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.), and a master’s degree in Software Engineering (MSE) from Seattle University. He also has an M.B.A. in Organizational Behavior and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from California State University. He is a member of the International Leadership Association, the Association of Computing Machinery, the IEEE Computer Society, the UK Systems Society, the Systems Dynamics Society, and the International Society for the Systems Sciences.

Networking and catered social begins at 6:00 p.m.
The presentation begins at 7:00 p.m., concluding by 9:00 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend.

* Take the NE 40th Street exit.
* Turn right at stop sign onto NE 40th Street.
* Turn right at first light onto 156th Ave NE.
* Turn left onto NE 36th Street.
* Follow NE 36th Street until you get to 36th Way (second intersection).
* Turn right at the second intersection where 36th Street and 36th Way intersect, Microsoft Conference Center is on the left marked Building 33.
* Follow the signs to Building 33 parking (just past the Conference Center on the left is the parking garage entrance).
* Take the elevator marked Conference Center (not Executive Briefing Center).
