Whether you pay it at a retail terminal, online or mobile, the US Mobile Payments Market is predicted to reach $90B by 2017.

In 2013, Mobile Devices will outnumber the people worldwide. Mobile payments are any form of financial payment for a transaction made with a mobile device, including purchasing goods or services, paying a bill or another person (P2P).

Panelist, Jennifer Busenbark

Jennifer was the first product manager to join the Braintree team in 2009. She helped scale a team of less than 10 people in 2009, into 6 different teams consisting of 38 total employees in 2012. Her expertise has helped design Braintree’s current processes including planning, building, testing, launching and just about everything else pertaining to software delivery. Jen came to Braintree after spending nine years as a consultant at Thoughtworks. She earned her bachelor’s of science from Michigan State University.

Panelist, Mary Nelson

Mary is the Vice President, Operations for Monitise’s partnership with Visa, Inc., leading the team delivering reliable and highly secure services around the world to Visa. She is responsible for activation of Visa's customers to the mobile platform, starting with the first live customer and now rapidly building the quantity of customers and transaction volumes. Prior to Monitise, Mary was Vice President of Customer Services at mBlox, overseeing all customer- facing activities at mBlox, Inc. on a global basis. mBlox built the largest worldwide network of direct mobile operator connections and continues to be a leader in SMS solutions. Mary has extensive knowledge in building successful operational and customer-facing functions in growth companies.

Panelist, Pragati Ogal Rai

Pragati is a mobile technologist with over 12 years of experience in different aspects of mobile technology including mobile operating systems, mobile security, mobile payments, and m-commerce. From working as a platform security engineer with Motorola Mobility to designing and developing PayPal’s mobile offerings, she has extensive end-to-end experience in all aspects of mobile technology. Pragati has dual masters in computer science and has taught and trained computer science students at different levels. She is a recognized speaker at international technology events. Often called as a geek who can speak, she currently works as the Mobile Evangelist with PayPal (an eBay Inc. Company).

Panelist, Carol Realini

Carol is a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur, mobile banking pioneer, and successful author. She is a globally recognized expert in financial service innovation. She has worked with leading financial institution, telecommunications, and microfinance organizations to change the way banking is conducted. In 2011, as a Technology Pioneer attending the World Economic Forum, she led discussions on alternative banking at their meeting in Davos. A serial entrepreneur, she has been recognized as one of the 50 Top Women in Technology by Corporate Board Member magazine. Carol is a huge believer in the potential of mobile banking to create universal financial inclusion - where everyone with a mobile phone has access to affordable financial services that empower their life and work. Carol mentors entrepreneurs and sits on boards of multiple companies focused on technology enabled financial inclusion.

Panelist, Magda Sypula

Magda is Director of software product management at Verifone, Inc with responsibility for the management of the OS’s, toolkits, and security solutions. Her broad mobile and ecommerce background includes product lines that can be found at Verizon, Sprint Nextel, AT&T. Gizmodo and CNET have lauded her products saying “chat app nails bullseye” and calling them “sexy”. Magda’s exceptional balance of commercial and technical skills led to results in driving company growth with a variety of products, from the top selling mobile phone to a GSMA Award nominee in 2010. Magda has a Bachelor of Science in Decision Sciences and Management Information System from George Mason University.

Moderator, Christina Trampota

Christina is Principal at CGM Squared, a consulting practice with a focus on early stage and high growth companies. She has held a variety of roles in her career across the mobile industry, primarily in marketing and business development. Her experiences at Clickatell, SEVEN Networks and Good Technology worked across a variety of mobile devices, carrier channels and applications for both the enterprise and consumer markets worldwide. Previously, she worked for Motorola, focused on developing new value added services for the channels and AT&T in a variety of product and sales roles. Trampota received a master’s degree from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in business from The University of Texas McCombs School of Business
