Howdy! Howdy is the official greeting of Debbâ€™s university alma mater, Texas A&M where she graduated in 1990 with a psychology degree followed by a masterâ€™s degree in counseling from Texas A&M at Corpus Christi in 1999. "Howdy" is her way to extend a warm whole-hearted welcome to everyone (aka all yâ€™all).

She has acquired thousands of hours over 20 plus years as an exquisite listener, counselor, educator, facilitator, leadership trainer, and curriculum designer for people and organizations wanting to expand their potential, create positive growth, and lead with courage. Clients routinely seek her guidance to help them translate leadership theory into actions that create dynamic impact and drive powerful results.
As a Certified Dare To Leadâ„¢ and Certified Daring Wayâ„¢ Facilitator, Debb is certified by the BrenÃ© Brown Education and Research Group (BBERG) to facilitate and train people in the work of Dr. BrenÃ© Brown highlighted by her New York Times best-selling books, Dare to Lead, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Gifts of Imperfection. She delivers keynote presentations, workshops, trainings, and retreats helping people align their teams and organizations around goals to connect, engage, do brave work, dig into tough conversations, define culture, and lead with heart. She has spent the last ten years as an adjunct trainer with the Center for Creative Leadership facilitating leadership workshops with multi-generational audiences. Debb can be seen sharing ideas and tips, regularly, on WCNCâ€™s Charlotte Today Show.
As a 16 year Rotarian, Debb balances work with giving back by serving in the community and abroad with her Rotary Club, Mecklenburg County-South. Her Rotary endeavors and service projects have taken her to Peru and Tanzania, highlighted with the inaugural Rotary District 7680 Kilimanjaro climb for Polio Plus. Debb is a Past Board Chair for Girls on the Run of Union County and the current director for Seminar for Tomorrowâ€™s Leaders, a leadership development scholarship program for teens.
In her personal time, you might spot Debb at a baseball game, hiking the nearest mountain trails, enjoying wine with friends, or relaxing at her favorite beach.
